The Production & Logistics Manager ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently and coordinating the responsibility for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, and transportation processes.

Duties

  • Plan and organize production schedules for maximum workforce efficiency
  • Plan and organize freight for finished good
  • Estimate, negotiate and agree on budgets internally
  • Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes
  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
  • Lead and encourage staff to operate at a high level of effectiveness
  • Evaluate, adjust, and create new SOPs for effective operations
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Manage risk to minimize losses and maximize profits
  • Assist in taking physical inventories
  • Support Quality in non-conformance investigations and fulfill approved corrective actions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related operations experience in operations, logistics, business administration, and transportation
  • In depth understanding of various ERP systems (Odoo preferred)
  • A strong working knowledge of safety regulations and chair the OH&S Committee
  • Project management skills
  • Leadership abilities to mentor and coach employees and boost morale
  • 5+ years of experience working in management or supervisory roles
  • Able to prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • International logistics experience preferred
  • Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/OKR’s
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly evolving and growing environment where responsibilities and position scope may change
  • Eligible to work in Canada
